music: albums

I think this is the first album post I've done from this century. Everything else has been pre-1980, aka the better years for just about everything I like.

I should probably break this new install in with a post, so why not do an album post for the first time in literal years?

For clarity, this is based off my top plays on last.fm, it's not a rating of 2025 releases.

Another 10 down, and nearly halfway through the list! This round was a bit like the last; some very good, some not very good.

I finished the first 10 albums today so it's time to recap how it went.

A few months back I had tried to listen to the top 500 albums according to Rolling Stone magazine back in 2005. I started off strong but as soon as I hit country records, it all fell apart and I called it quits.

Last.FM's reporting started fresh today for the next week, so I decided that instead of just listening to playlists or stations tied to songs, I am only going to listen to complete albums for the next week.

It's been ages since I've made a post but I got the sudden inspiration to write about Cream's Disraeli Gears, released in November 1967.

I spent the last half hour going down the rabbit hole that is looking for a functional mid-century kitchen clock on Etsy, and then I realized I should be making this post instead!

After some thought, I have decided that I am going to do write ups for other albums between my posts of The Who's albums. Tonight's album is Axis: Bold as Love by the Jimi Hendrix Experience.
