I have been practicing guitar again and I've also watched The Who Live at the Isle of Wight 1970 and Woodstock in the past week, so live music and inspiration have been on my mind.

I think this is the first album post I've done from this century. Everything else has been pre-1980, aka the better years for just about everything I like.

Tomorrow is my 37th birthday. Since my birthday continues to be tainted by people who think covid is no longer in existence, I've been looking at what was going on when I was born as a distraction.

I should probably break this new install in with a post, so why not do an album post for the first time in literal years?

Robert Johnson is absolutely fascinating, and the lore around him only adds to that fascination. He is one of The Greats™, but wasn't always considered so.

After some thought, I have decided that I am going to do write ups for other albums between my posts of The Who's albums. Tonight's album is Axis: Bold as Love by the Jimi Hendrix Experience.

Album number 2 of The Who's discography was released as A Quick One in the UK, and Happy Jack in the US (Decca's name changes strike again!).
